Do you have to be a student to live at UniResort?
Although UniResort is predominately student accommodation, we do accept non-students as well. Due to the style of accommodation, it is highly likely that you will be sharing with students.
Do you have inspections?
Yes, we have inspections daily. The times are as follows:
Monday - Saturday at 12 noon and
Monday - Friday 4pm
UniResort advises that a quick phone call prior to these inspections is a good idea to ensure that an inspection will be carried out.
Who lives at UniResort?
UniResort accommodates for students and non-students. The resort also has a range of local and international residents. Due to the accommodation being for predominately students, we do not accept children and families. UniResort also has an onsite manager.
How many people will I be sharing with?
UniResort offers both 4 and 6 bedroom shared apartments.
Do you have parking?
UniResort has a secure undercover car park that is subject to availability. The parking facility is free of charge, cars must simply be registered at reception upon check-in.
Can couples share a room?
Couples may share all room types excluding a standard room. In the case of two people sharing a room, rent is an additional $50 per week. For couples sharing one room, both persons must be on the lease.
What are the hidden costs?
There are no hidden costs at UniResort. The rent includes car parking (subject to availability), access to resort facilities, foxtel and 4gb broadband per month. There is a once off $40 connection fee for the internet which is payable upon check-in.
Each room has its own phone which operates on a pre-paid system which can be paid at reception as required. The phone has no line rental fee so if you do not wish to utilize this service, no charges will apply.
Is UniResort near transport?
With a bus stop at the front of the resort, and Garden City's major bus terminal a 5 minute walk away, public transport from UniResort is easy to access and affordable.
Can I have friends and family stay over?
If you wish to have a guest stay with you at UniResort for a period less than 3 nights, there are no extra charges. It is compulsory for your guests to abide by resort rules.
Reception must be informed if you have guests staying longer than 3 nights, and a cost of $50 per week will be charged to your account.
UniResort reminds all tenants that they are responsible for the actions of their guests.
If you wish to have family and friends stay at UniResort we do offer short term accommodation.
Do I have to pay for cleaning or laundry at UniResort?
All apartments at UniResort have fully equipped laundries at no extra cost.
Professional cleaners are available but not compulsory. Tenants are able to make arrangements at reception for cleaners to clean their rooms at a rate of $50p/hour.
Regular apartment inspections monitor household cleanliness. These are carried out monthly.
At the end of your lease a departure clean may be charged if your apartment and bedroom is not cleaned to a professional standard.
