At UniResort the management and residents work together to protect the environment. Our newsletter ResortNews includes a Green initiative every month which residents are encouraged to adopt. UniResort encourages residents to support and participate in Earth Hour.
Some concepts previously used to protect our environment and to inspire residents to follow include: · Issuing residents with 4-minute shower timers during water restrictions as a reminder to shorten shower times and reduce water consumption · Encouraging residents to collect 'overspray' shower water with a bucket during the drought and to use this water on the gardens · Encouraging house mates to share the washing and dryer loads to reduce the amount of water and power used · Providing residents with recycling information and reminders to recycle on a regular basis · Reducing the amount of paper used in the Office and progressing towards 'paperless' administration where possible
UniResort has fabulous well maintained gardens. Some residents have taken advantage of the spacious gardens and developed their own vegetable plot.
